Many moons ago, around the time Batten the Hatches came out (for the first time? for the second time?) I received a Myspace message from a gentleman named Xian, asking if I might be interested in collaborating with him on some new recordings.  After listening to some recordings (released under the moniker Sybarite) and drinking some Chimay in his excellent company, I decided I had to at the very least try.  Now, some two years later, these recordings are finally available out in the real world; well, the digital world (at Amie Street) for now, and the physical world on October 13th.  You can read an album preview at the fabulous Consequence of Sound.  Xian has been sanding, fine-tuning, and perfecting these songs for a good long while (for some reason, I picture a lot of beakers?) and I am thrilled that they finally meet his high standards and can be released into the wild.  You can hear things at the Bell Horses myspace page.  xo
